            Description

            Participants will be able to immediately apply coaching knowledge and skills in various settings that include parenting, community organizing, workshop facilitating, leading, advising, teaching, and many more! At the end of Course 3, participants will have the coursework required to start the process of applying for ICF Level 1 certification.

            This Coaching Micro-Credential Level 1 includes the following courses:

             

            Schedule

            This course meets on most Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm - 9:00pm EST from September 10, 2024, to February 11, 2025. 

            Attendance is required at all course sessions - sessions will not be recorded to view if absent. (Exceptions may be made for unforeseen emergency situations, but attendance is vital for ICF certification requirements and to support your peers in the cohort.)

            After completing the learning exercises and activities in this Micro-Credential Level 1 Coaching program, students will have the knowledge and skills connected to the three courses included in the program. See Learning Outcomes for the individual courses:

            Additional Information

            This Micro-Credential program is aligned to the International Coaching Federation Core Competencies. 

            The first three courses are not ICF certified yet, but the program will be submitted for certification upon completion of the pilot program from September 2024 to February 2025. If accepted, participants from this pilot cohort will receive ICF educational credit for their coursework.

            Technology Requirements

            Hardware Requirements: This program can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook.

            Software Requirements: Software must be installed and fully operational before the program begins.

            • PC: Windows 8 or later.
            • Mac: macOS 10.6 or later.
            • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible. Cookies and JavaScript must be enabled
            • The latest Adobe Reader/Acrobat Reader ( free download available at https://get.adobe.com/reader/ )
            • Any modern Office suite: Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, OpenOffice, or LibreOffice

            Other:

            • Reliable internet connection. Broadband cable or highspeed DSL is recommended for optimal experience.
            • E-mail account (to be able to register and to receive e-mail from the course system regarding registration, course status, etc.)
