Who is the typical participant?
The typical ASPIRE participant values flexibility and lifelong learning. They are often working professionals or busy adults looking to enhance skills or gain credentials.
Online, self-paced courses allow them to balance learning with other personal and professional commitments.

What is the delivery format?
Most ASPIRE courses and programs are offered online, asynchronous, and self-paced, allowing you to complete the work on your own schedule.
Some programs may include occasional in-person meetings or sessions, depending on the course, but this varies.

How do I register for a Course?
Registration for continuing education courses at Loyola University Maryland is available online by using the online course catalog. Prior to enrolling in a continuing education course, students are encouraged to review all registration information.
Questions about specific courses or programs should be directed to the aspire@loyola.edu. Questions will be addressed on weekdays, 9 am-5 pm EST when the university is in session. So, please take into account that it may take up to 72 hours to receive a reply if you send an email on the weekend or during a holiday.

What accreditation and certification is associated with ASPIRE content?
All content found on the ASPIRE storefront awards non-credit, continuing education units (CEUs). Very few select courses provide academic credit. All of the materials are approved by Loyola University Maryland as evidence of professional study and a record will be kept at the university of learner progress within the ASPIRE office. Loyola ASPIRE follows the IACET standards for the quality of continuing education, and a significant number of courses are available for IACET CEUs. Each course will offer a CEU certificate which will state all accreditations and certifications that are earned upon completion of the content. For further questions about certifications for individual courses please refer to the course description or contact the ASPIRE office. Participants are encouraged to contact their organizations and jurisdictions in advance to ensure the material provided and the certificates offered will satisfy certification or regulatory compliance.

What are the costs, payment options, and who do I contact for billing issues?
Program costs vary by course and are listed on each program’s registration page.
We accept the following credit cards: AMEX, Visa, Discover, and Mastercard. You may also pay by check or money order.

How can I receive a refund?
You may request a refund up to 5 days from the purchase date. The registration fee will only be refunded if less than 10% of the course has been completed.
All refund requests should be made in writing and sent to aspire@loyola.edu.

How do I register multiple people or someone other than myself for a course?
Send us an email at aspire@loyola.edu with the name of the course, and the names and email addresses of the participants you would like to register and we will help set up the registrations.

How do I access my courses after registration, and what should I do if I experience technical issues?
You can access your ASPIRE course content on the ASPIRE Moodle website. Log in with the user name and password you created at checkout. There will be a link to the ASPIRE Moodle website in your purchase confirmation email.

What kind of discounts are available?
Loyola University Maryland employees are eligible for a 25% discount on ASPIRE courses. To access this discount, employees should email aspire@loyola.edu with a list of courses they would like to take. The employee will receive a unique discount code to apply to their course(s) of interest.
Loyola University Maryland and Continuing Education alumni are eligible for a 20% discount on ASPIRE courses. Alumni should email aspire@loyola.edu with a list of courses they want to take. They will receive a unique discount code to apply to their course(s) of interest.
ASPIRE can also provide group and corporate discounts. For more information on group and corporate discounts please email aspire@loyola.edu.

What if I am an out-of-state or international student?
Students from out of state and international students pay the same tuition for continuing education courses as do students who are residents of Maryland. Costs for foreign currency conversion may be applied.
