#### Description

This 18-hour professional development course focuses on the needs of adults working in Montessori schools and provides specific ways for leaders, trainers, and coaches to support them. The Montessori coach is the person in the school with a background as a Montessori educator who is now working to support the school-based adults through embedded professional development. Their work brings the school into balance, based on the coherence of One School, the opportunity for Honest Talk, and the infrastructure created through Strong Systems.

 

#### Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to gain knowledge about:

Role clarity: This course walks through each aspect of the work of the coach, offering tools for beginning the work.

Equity: A central element of the work, this course unpacks the coaches' work in ensuring equitable learning environments.

Neuroscience: How can understanding the brain inform coaches in working with Montessori educators to support their growth? In the course, we explore neuroscience and how to build strong relationships with educators in support of their transformation.
