Description

Empower yourself to make a difference in community health with TheeSeeds LLC.'s Community Health Worker Training Program. This standardized and localized initiative is designed to equip individuals with the foundational knowledge and essential skills needed for the vital role of a Community Health Worker (CHW). The program provides comprehensive training on community health concepts, resources, and the multifaceted responsibilities associated with the role.

Students will be provided basic training on the role of community health workers by introducing community health concepts, resources, and skills elated to the role and responsibilities of a Community Health Worker. The delivery of the learning sessions is online.

The Community Health Worker Training Program from TheeSeeds LLC. reflects the organization's commitment to improving community health through education, advocacy, and support. Participants emerge not only as competent CHWs but as compassionate advocates contributing to the health and well-being of the communities they serve. Typically, individuals complete a "practicum" as part of their training, which involves engaging in a supervised, hands-on experience within a real-world setting to apply their knowledge and skills.

For more information on what a Community Health Worker is and the different job titles or roles that someone with these skills can do, please visit the Community Health Workers in Maryland page on the Maryland Department of Health site.
