Through this course, participants will learn about the Montessori approach to education, which provides both insight and practices for child-centered care that is developmentally attuned and highly practical while, at the same time, offering a pedagogy rooted in the belief in the unmanifested potential and inherent assets of both children and adults. Participants in this course will learn about: - Culturally Responsive & Asset-Based Montessori Pedagogy in Home Environments - Needs and Stages of Child Development - Montessori Practices in Home Environments  - Role of the Montessori Adult in Family Child Care  - Adult and Child Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing as Response to Stress and Trauma  - Behavior Management and Family Communication All sessions will be held virtually from 6:30-8:00pm EST on the following dates: - January 22 - January 29 - February 5 - February 12 - February 26 (No live session on February 19th, Presidents’ Day) - March 4 Participants who successfully complete this course will be eligible to request Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from Loyola University Maryland. **Photos and Video:** NCMPS may take photos or record video during this event.
