#### Description

QuickBooks® Online Basics is an introductory-level training course designed to build a foundation of essential skills in QuickBooks® Online. In this course, learners will develop a greater understanding of the basic bookkeeping and accounting functions that the software enables. The course content focuses on mastering the fundamental tasks performed in QuickBooks®, including setting up a company file and chart of accounts, entering customer and vendor information, recording sales, creating invoices, managing payables and receivables, creating and customizing reports, and using the Audit Log.

Note: To complete the exercises in this course, learners will need to set up their own access to the QuickBooks® Desktop 2020 software. A subscription to QuickBooks® Desktop 2020 is not included with this course.

This *QuickBooks¬Æ Online Basics* course is offered in collaboration with the trusted learning partner MindEdge.

#### Learning Outcomes

 After completing this course, the learner should be able to:

- Navigate QuickBooks® Online and explain key functions
- Set up a company file
- Enter and import customer and vendor data
- Edit the Chart of Accounts
- Customize invoices, receipts, and estimates
- Enter and edit transactions
- Enter and pay vendor bills
- Receive and record deposits and checks
- Utilize the Undeposited Funds account
- Create and run reports

Hardware Requirements: This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook.

Software Requirements: Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.

- PC: Windows 8 or later.
- Mac: macOS 10.6 or later.
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge and Safari are also compatible. Cookies and JavaScript must be enabled
- The latest Adobe Reader/Acrobat Reader ( free download available at https://get.adobe.com/reader/ )
- Any modern Office suite: Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, OpenOffice, or LibreOffice

Other:

- Reliable internet connection. Broadband cable or highspeed DSL is recommended for optimal experience.
- E-mail account (to be able to register and to receive e-mail from the course system regarding registration, course status, etc.)
