Students will first be introduced to the concept of Information Lifecycle Management and how to manage data from the perspective of protecting information as a strategic asset. The second and third courses cover both the introduction and advanced skillsets needed for SQL/PL database and application development. Microsoft Access, Oracle and Tableau software applications will be used throughout the the three courses. Students will earn a certificate awarding 45 CPE credits to go towards professional development. Instructor: Paul Tallon is Professor of Information Systems at the Sellinger School of Business, Loyola University Maryland. Prof. Tallon qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 1993 and is currently a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. He studies a variety of topics at the intersection of IT and accounting, notably methods of computing the financial return on IT investments and methods of assessing the value of information. #### Requirements ** ##### Technology Requirements Hardware Requirements: This course can be taken on either a PC, Mac, or Chromebook.
