This program is designed to equip you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to address two critical issues: domestic violence and suicide. These complex and sensitive topics require thoughtful, compassionate, and informed approaches to support individuals in crisis and prevent further harm. Throughout this three-day program, we will explore the underlying causes of domestic violence and suicide, learn how to identify early warning signs and examine evidence-based strategies for prevention and intervention. You will gain the tools to respond effectively, provide immediate support, and connect individuals to the resources they need for safety and healing. By the end of this specialization, you will have a deep understanding of the dynamics of abuse and suicide, as well as practical, hands-on techniques for intervening in crisis situations, promoting prevention, and supporting those at risk.
The online sessions for this course will take place on 3 consecutive days from 10:30am to 2:30pm EST on the following dates:
- September 2, 2025 through September 4, 2025
